Zuraida: Axe Haziq from PKR

PUCHONG: PKR vice president Zuraida Kamaruddin will propose for its Santubong youth chief, Muhammad Haziq Abdul Haziz to be sacked from the party at its political bureau meeting scheduled later today.

“I believe the party should take action against him. I will propose for the party to sack him at the political bureau meeting later today,” she said.

The meeting will be chaired by PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Two weeks ago, unknown persons disseminated a series of sex video clips showing two men having gay sex in a hotel in Sabah.

Haziq came forward and admitted it was him in the video and alleged the other guy was Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.

Azmin denied the accusations and had lodged police report on the matter, claiming it was an attempt to tarnish his reputation and end his political career.

Haziq has been suspended from his job as the senior private secretary of Deputy Primary Industries Minister Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin since the expose.

On related matter, Zuraida dismissed arguments that Azmin should take leave until the investigation on the sex video is complete.

She said that it would the best for everyone to wait for the police to complete their probe on the matter first.

“Why don’t we let the police investigate and wait for the outcome?

“I believe this is a wiser move, ” said Zuraida, who is seen to be Azmin’s loyalist.

Last week, pro-Anwar NGO, Otai Reformasi called upon Azmin to take break until the investigation on the case was complete.

Anwar’s political secretary, Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak yesterday dared Azmin to quit politics if the latter was found guilty of sexual misconduct.
