Termination of Bursa Malaysia Chairman is shocking
The termination of the services of the Bursa Malaysia Bhd Chairman by the Finance Minister been a shocking revelation. In today ‘s economic environment, with the greatest need of ministers, especially the Minister of Economy and Finance, such decisions give the wrong signal to domestic and foreign industry players.
The Minister of Finance looks at the tempo and strides made by other Ministers at present who are constantly organizing important positions within their ministries as political hubs.
The power of ministers is to focus on their fellow citizens rather than to use their power to concentrate on the problems of the poor and needy.
Not surprisingly, the Finance Minister who has no long-standing political background has also been followed by other ministers using power for the benefit of their own families, parties and clans.
The Ministry of Finance’s decision by his Minister today is unprofessional, giving a bad image to financial institutions and a bad omen for the country.
It also confirms our doubts over the years that this new government is a government leading to a polytheistic era of powerlessness that will revive the culture of corruption, cronyism, patronage and abuse of power.
All of these values and practices are just a recipe for an economy and a nation that is failing even more in the face of today’s toughest economic challenges.
It is our responsibility to rebuke and oppose this irresponsible and morally corrupt move. Covid19 is not a reason for us to remain silent and let this country go to ruin.
