Taylor’s University inks sustainability with ABS Greentech

KUALA LUMPUR: ABS Greentech has inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Taylor’s
University at Kind Malaysia on the 2nd – 3rd March 2023 at Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The MoU was signed by Mr. R.M. Ravichandar, Group Chief Executive Officer of ABS
Greentech and YBhg. Emeritus Professor Dr Paraidathathu Thomas A/L P.G. Thomas,
Executive Dean of Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences of Taylor’s University, and
witnessed by YBhg. Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Mamat and YBhg. Associate Professor Dr. Phelim
Yong Voon Chen, Head of School of Biosciences of Taylor’s University.

The understanding between ABSG and Taylor’s University was to work together to organise
webinars, seminars, conferences, campaigns and roadshows to provide awareness and
knowledge about innovative pesticide-free farming, good agricultural practices for MyGAP,
and food security.

It is learned that the students of Taylor’s University would learn from ABS Greentech Sdn Bhd
about Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and in turn, they would teach B40 farmers the basic
skills of IPM farming.

ABS Greentech Sdn Bhd as a technology solutions company and pioneer in IPM would provide
Taylor’s University with knowledge and support to promote sustainable agriculture through
pesticide-free farming.

This understanding is leading to the inaugural Asia Smart Farming & Food Security 2023
(ASF’23), which will be held on the 3rd – 4th of October 2023 at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

ASF’23 is a professional agriculture platform that includes a conference, expo, and business-to-
business meetings and an award ceremony to recognise industry practitioners who have

worked to improve the agriculture sector.
