Newly minted Johor MB Dr Sahruddin Jamal confirms exco reshuffle

JOHOR BARU: The newly minted Johor Menteri Besar Dr Sahruddin Jamal confirmed that he would reshuffle the state exco line up within a fortnight.

“Despite having 14 days to make changes to the state executive committee line-up, I will personally try to do it before then.

“I will also take Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s advice on engaging leaders with integrity to safeguard the people’s future,” said Dr Sahruddin.

“It is normal that whenever there are changes in top leadership, there will be changes in portfolio (holders),” he said.

“Like (former Johor menteri besar) Osman Sapian who had his own team, I will also have my team. I will be choosing excos from among assemblypersons whom I feel comfortable working with.

“What is important is how we can help ensure that the people will enjoy all the developments that we have planned,” he told reporters.

Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar requested for the state cabinet reshuffle when he received the outgoing MB, Datuk Osman Sapian’s resignation yesterday.
