IGP visits General Operations Force base
KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 — Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain visited the General Operations Force (GOF) tactical base (Martak) in Sungai Kores, Johor, in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha.
The country’s top cop went to the ground to monitor the GOF’s Central Brigade Battalion 5’s duties on Thursday (June 29).
Razarudin was welcomed by Johor deputy police chief Deputy Comm M. Kumar and Central Brigade commander Senior Asst Comm Zulkifli Jonit.
He was given a briefing on the current operational situation before he visited the GOF post in Sungai Ayam.
On top of boosting the morale of GOF personnel who were on duty during Aidiladha, Razarudin also presented goodies to personnel on duty for Ops Taring Nyah 1, Johor.
The IGP also witnessed a “korban” (sacrifice) ceremony and distribution of the meat to GOF personnel and residents of Kampung Sungai Kores.
Among those present were Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department deputy director DCP Datuk Muhammad Abdul Halim, Bukit Aman Corporate Communications chief Asst Comm Skandaguru Anandan and Batu Pahat Deputy OCPD Supt Shahrulanuar Mushaddat Abdullah Sani.
