Gay sex video clip man released from police custody

KUALA LUMPUR: The viralled gay sex video clip man, Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz has been released from police custody.

Haziq who is also Santubong PKR Youth chief and the suspended private secretary to Primary Industries Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin was seen leaving the Dang Wangi district police headquarters this evening in the back seat of a sedan car with his lawyer R Sivananthan.

The 27-year-old was arrested at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport yesterday, days after claiming to have been in a sex video with Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali.

He was investigated under four criminal sections including carnal intercourse against order of the nature and misusing networks.

Two video clips have been released and both featured a man who resembled Azmin.

Earlier today, he was brought to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for a medical checkup.

Haziq’s another lawyer, S Ramesh confirmed that his client was released on police bail and would be required to present himself to the authorities if they required him further.

In a related development, Inspector General of Police Datuk Abdul Hamid Bador told the press in Perlis that the police force needed time to determine the authenticity of the viralled gay sex video clips.

“For this case, I am not taking an unusual stand. Every report on criminal acts should be assessed first and an investigation paper will only be opened after we are confident that there were criminal elements.

“I also do not pressure the investigating officers because we take a step-by-step approach while actions are in various forms,” he said.
