He was first brought to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) confirmed, Haziq’s lawyer, S Ramesh.

“According to the IO, he won’t be remanded and will be given police bail,” added the lawyer.

Haziq mired in controversy surrounding a gay sex video clip that implicated Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali was arrested yesterday evening at Kuala Lumpur International Airport as he attempted to get on board a flight to Manila.

This was confirmed by the police.

“The suspect was at the international departure hall when he was arrested. Based on his flight ticket, the suspect was headed to Manila,” said Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Commissioner Datuk Huzir Mohamed.

Haziq is probed for having carnal intercourse against the order of nature, distribution of obscene material, intending to provoke a breach of public peace and misuse of network facilities.

Ramesh meanwhile told the press that he is in the dark over the location of his client.

“The police called me saying that Haziq was in KLIA, but when I arrived there around 7.20pm, they told me that Bukit Aman had taken him in.

“Now I am waiting for more updates from the police. I also am not sure where he has been taken,” he said when contacted by the media.

A sex video clip implicating Azmin went viral on Tuesday. This was followed by a confession video in which Haziq clarified that he was the other man in the clip. A second clip has made its rounds.

Haziq too have claimed that the incident in Sandakan was not the first time he was with the minister.
