TLO poll: Dzulkefly the best minister for 2019, Khalid the worst
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad was voted as the best performing minister in 2019 by The Leaders Online readers.
The online poll, which was conducted between Dec 17 till yesterday, showed that 50% of the readers chose Dzulkefly based on his achievement in improving the Malaysian healthcare system.
The result also made Dzulkefly as one of the best ministers in the Pakatan Harapan government for maintaining a good reputation, with less controversy.
Second in line was Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Minister Yeo Bee Yin, garnering 42% of the votes.
Yeo was chosen for her passion and determination in making sure that Malaysia moves towards a green economy, while remaining competitive in the power sector; with a new strategic plan.
Third in place was Transport Minister Anthony Loke, getting 33.5% of the votes for reforming the transportation sector, including e-hailing services.
Other ministers rated positive by our readers were Deputy Prime Minister cum Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail (25%), Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo (25%) and Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik (16.7%).
The two worst performing ministers rated by The Leaders Online poll were Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad, who received no votes at all.
Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman received a slightly better treatment than Khalid, receiving a meagre vote count of 8.5%.
