The first Africa Expo into Asian markets posts fruitful results

PUCHONG: The first edition of the African business expo into Asian markets in first-ever B2B tradeshow which concluded last week, was hailed as another fruitful event.

With the tagline “Africa to Asia”AE2022 features African business professionals from manufacturers, distributors, importers, and exporters of various scales, all the way to government bodies and policy makers.

In his officiating address, H.E. Prof. Hillary Barchok, Governor of County Government of Bomet,Kenya said, “Over the years, the economic growth of Africa’s private sector has reached impressive feats yet many Asian companies are not aware of Africa’s promising business climate.

He also said prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, Africa was the second-fastest growing continent outside Asia.”

He said this expo serves as a catalyst for African products and services to cater to the Asian continent and globally, while encouraging bilateral trade between the two biggest continents in the world – through Malaysia.

Africa Expo 2022 has successfully ended last Friday, 11th November 2022.
Many doors of opportunities have been opened, and many good working relationships were formed.

Following that, Hema Kandy, Chief Executive Officer, My Events International said “I strongly believe that with this trade summit, the meeting of the world’s two largest continents has occurred, and we have given everyone a taste of the magic that can happen, with great potential and opportunities knocking on every door.”

“I hope that this has shown the world that Africa and Asia are competent market resource suppliers across the globe.” she added.

Throughout the three days, AE2022, exhibitors over 77 booths involved in roundtable dialogues, business-matching sessions, industrial site visits and business awards for rising stars across industries.
