Police: Authenticity of viral sex videos yet to be determined

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have yet to determine whether the sex videos implicating a federal minister is authentic or not, said Deputy Inspector General of Police Datuk Mazlan Mansor.

He also said that no time frame was set to wrap up investigations on the matter as they needed time for a comprehensive probe.

“There is no time bar or deadline set for this case because we want to do a proper investigation,” said Mazlan, at a press conference.

He also said,” We will call up anyone who we feel is needed to help in the investigation.”

Last Friday, Muhammad Haziq Abdul Aziz, who was implicated in the sex video was arrested at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

He was subsequently released the following day.

Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali was alleged to be the other guy in the video, an accusation he had denied.

Azmin had lodged a police report on the matter.
