PKR won’t take action against Haziq…

KUCHING: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim pointed out that no action would be taken on Santubong Keadilan Youth (AMK) chief, Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz who admitted his involvement in gay sex video clips allegedly with Economic Affairs Minister, Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.

He said that PKR would wait for police investigation beforehand and did not want to make a hasty decision by punishing Haziq until he was proven guilty.

“I am sure there must be a mastermind involved in the incident. No matter what, we leave it to the police to carry out their investigation and only strong evidence will support the allegation,” he said at a media conference after attending the Open House celebration by the Sarawak State PKR Leadership at the Youth and Sports Complex, here today.

A sex video clip implicating Azmin went viral on last Tuesday. This was followed by a confession video in which Haziq clarified that he was the other man in the clip. A second clip has made its rounds.

Haziq too have claimed that the incident in Sandakan was not the first time he was with the minister.

Haziq was arrested last week, had a medical check up and was released on bail without travel restrictions.

Azmin meanwhile told the press yesterday of his willingness to cooperate with the police against the gay sex allegation which he has denied.
