PKR National Congress ends today
MELAKA: The 2019 Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) National Congress, which is taking place at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC), here, lowers its curtain today.
According to the schedule PKR uploaded on its official website, the final day would witness the winding ups by the Central Leadership Council (MPP) including the President and Deputy President.
The event which started at 9 am, would commence with the speech of the Permanent chairman-cum-PKR Disciplinary Board chairman Datuk Ahmad Kassim.
It would be followed-up by the winding up speech of Information chief Seri Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin, followed by the winding up speech of Youth chief (AMK), Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir and Wanita chief Haniza Mohamed Talha.
Subsequently, five vice-presidents would take turns to wind up starting with Ali Biju, Chang Lih Kang, Tian Chua, Datuk Dr A. Xavier Jayakumar and Zuraida Kamaruddin.
This would be followed up by secretary general, Datuk Seri Saifudin Nasution Ismail’s winding up speech.
The climax would be the winding ups by deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
About 3,000 delegates attended the 14th PKR National Congress themed, Twenty Years of Keadilan: Two Decades Popularising Reform (20 Tahun Keadilan : Dua Dekad Merakyatkan Reformasi).
