PAS to KL Summit: Hold special prayers for Uighurs
PUCHONG: Conduct a special prayer for the wellbeing of the Uighurs who are oppressed in China, PAS tells organisers of the KL Summit.
In a statement today, PAS Ulama Council chief Dr Nik Muhammad Zawawi Salleh said Muslims worldwide are failing the Uighur community by keeping silent on the atrocities suffered by the latter.
“Muslim nations are not paying much attention on the matter and no action has been taken against China.
“It is the responsibility of the Muslim nations to lend a helping hand and save the lives of Uighur community,” he said.
The KL Summit will be held from today till Friday. However, major Muslim nations such as Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates are not attending the summit.
