Najib on gay sex video: Can I advise you something, AG?

PUCHONG: It is not that difficult to identify the ‘actors’ of the gay sex video, provided the law enforcement agencies were serious about it.

In a Facebook post yesterday, former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said that many in the past have provided ideas on how to investigate the matter.

“Can I advise you something, law enforcement agencies?

“It’s not that difficult to identify the ones featured in the gay sex videos, provided you want to probe it, of course,” he said.

Yesterday, Attorney General Tan Sri Tommy Thomas announced that his team would not press charges on the case, saying they could not identify the ‘actors’.

“The US company engaged to find out the identities of the people featured in the video came out inconclusive. The company said that none of the individuals implicated in the video could be positively identified due to low resolution and lack of video frames.

“The police also received an analysis report of the video from a private individual who also stated that no identification could be done based on facial recognition,” he was reported saying.

Giving his ‘expert’ opinion, Najib said that the authorities could check with the hotel involved on who entered which room, based on the CCTV recordings.

“The TV volume was loud during their ‘action’. You can always cross-check what was on air at that time and match it with the time they were engaged in sex. The police have the CCTV recordings,” he said.

The Pekan MP said that he now feels bad for former Santubong PKR youth chief Mohd Haziq Abdul Aziz, who had admitted being one the ‘actors’ in the gay sex video.

“Haziq himself had admitted to be involved. Did he make a false police report then?

“But I pity him, following our AG’s announcement. I believe Haziq is now confused on who he was with on that memorable night,” said Najib.
