Najib: Focus on the economy, not lewd tattoo exhibition

PUCHONG: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak criticised the government for harping on petty issues rather than resolving pressing matters, such as the worsening state of the economy.

In a Facebook post, the Pekan MP said foreign capital outflow has gotten worse since Pakatan Harapan came to power 19 months ago.

“There must be reasons why the foreign capital outflow has become worse since the general election last year.

“Even economic analysts acknowledged that the inflow of foreign capital when Barisan Nasional was in charge of the government was better,” he said.

Najib was commenting on reports by Berita Harian yesterday, saying that foreign capital outflow at Bursa Malaysia have increased threefold to RM422.2 million last week.

Najib then said, “The government should focus on this issue rather than the petty tattoo exhibition gaffe.”
