Kadir Jasin reminds new MB that Johor people supported PH, not royalty

PUCHONG: Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s media advisor, Datuk A Kadir Jasin stopped short of congratulating newly minted Johor Menteri Besar Dr Sahruddin Jamal and instead reminded him that the people of Johor backed Pakatan Harapan while the royalty supported BN.

“He need not be reminded about the aspirations of the people who chose PH to be the government in the state where Umno was born on May 9,” he wrote in his personal capacity on his blog.

“I would like to refresh his memory over the fact that the majority of Johor people rejected Umno / BN even though the Johor Palace openly supported them in the general election.”

“They even told Johor voters against changing the navigators and condemned a ‘forked tongue individual’ in reference to Dr Mahathir.”

He also added that Dr Sahruddin “can no longer opt to be a silent in exco meetings.”

Dr Sahruddin, the Bukit Kepong state rep and Johor PH secretary was sworn in as the 17th Menteri Besar this morning.

Kadir added that the new minted MB should also seek lessons from the former MB, Datuk Osman Sapian as to why the latter had the shortest stint as the state MB.
