Johor Sultan summons state reps, Amanah MPs arrive at Istana Negara

PUCHONG: The Johor Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has summoned his state assemblymen for meeting at 2pm later.

Due to Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia exit from the Pakatan Harapan coalition, it was said that the Johor state assembly is now a limbo, with 28 reps from PKR, DAP and Amanah against another 28 reps from BN, Bersatu, and PAS.

However, the Johor state legislative assembly speaker Suhaizan Kaiat was reported saying yesterday that the state government was still intact pending political realignment at the federal level.

Meanwhile, at the federal level, scores of Amanah MPs have showed up at the Istana Negara to have an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

Among those spotted were Hulu Langat MP Hasanuddin Mohd Yunus, Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad, Sepang MP Datuk Mohamed Hanipa Maidin and Parit Buntar MP Datuk Seri Mujahid Yusof Rawa.

When met by the press, all of them expressed confidence that Pakatan would return to power.

“We are hopeful today, there is hope, the sun will shine again,” said the ever poetic Mujahid.
