Bung Mokhtar trolled on Twitter while he and wife face charges
PUCHONG: Kinabatangan MP Bung Mokhtar Radin was trolled on Twitter as he claimed trial to corruption charges earlier today.
Twitter user @wealthytang for instance blamed the sole Umno lawmaker for being a factor that led to the defeat of BN in the 14th general election.
Another user, @MrTandaha questioned the timing of the charge being issued as the Sandakan by-election where DAP is facing off PBS and three independent candidates.
One user, @jals_jalin even speculated that Bung may consider ditching Umno in favor of Sabah based Warisan.
He also questioned whether Umno members in Sabah were prepared to have Sabah Umno being led by former Kota Belud MP Abdul Rahman Dahlan.
Twitter user Ahmad Uzairi also questioned whether Bung would be facing charges if he fled Umno.
“Will Bung be charged if he joined the present government?”
Even social activist Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir took to Facebook to comment on the issue.
“This is the true moral decay, yet they go after much pettier things,” she said yesterday.”
Earlier today , Bung claimed trial to three charges of corruption over funds amounting to RM2.8 million. His wife, Zizie Izette claimed trial over three charges of abetting Bung.
