Anwar claims strong majority to the Agong
KUALA LUMPUR: Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today announced that he has presented authentic documents on a strong and convincing majority to support his leadership.
“As a servant of God with His trials and blessings, patience and commitment in order to defend the fate of the religion of the beloved nation.
“I request all parties to give space to Tuanku to carry out their responsibilities in accordance with the constitution and Tuanku’s discretion to review all documents and call another day or two to confirm and get input from political party leaders,” he said at a press conference today.
The PKR president also claimed that he had the support of more than 120 MPs.
Earlier, Anwar appeared before the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah for about an hour to present the support of the Member of Parliament he claimed to have, before seen leaving Istana Negara at 11.30 this morning.
He was leaving in a black Jaguar car and did not stop to answer reporters’ questions about his meeting with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, instead, just lowered the window and waved his hand while smiling at the reporter who was waiting for him as early as 8am.
