All 4 accused in rape, murder of Hyderabad Vet shot dead in encounter
All the four men accused in the Hyderabad veterinary doctor’s rape and murder case have been killed in a police encounter on Friday morning at Telangana’s Shadnagar.
The police said the four accused were shot dead on Friday morning in an encounter on the NH-44 near Hyderabad — the same highway where the charred body of 26-year-old veterinarian was found.
The encounter took place when the four men tried to escape from the crime scene where they were taken by cops for recreation of events.
Four men, identified as Mohammed (26), Jollu Shiva (20), Jollu Naveen (20) and Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu (20), were arrested on November 29 for allegedly raping and then burning 26-year-old veterinary doctor.
The four accused were under judicial custody and lodged in high-security cells in Cherlapally Central Prison.
Earlier huge protests had erupted after the charred body of a 26-year-old woman was found on the outskirts of Hyderabad on November 28.
