Zamri Vinoth panned for belittling God in Hinduism and Christianity
PUCHONG: Netizens have been panning Muslim convert preacher Zamri Vinoth Abdullah who belittled the concept of God in Hinduism and Christianity as compared to Islam in a video clip that has gone viral on Facebook.
Law lecturer and former DAP life member, Shamser Singh Thind countered by quoting part of verse 108 of Surah Al-An’am.
“What can’t you brain?
“And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah, lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge.” He quoted the verse.
He also explained the concept of God in Hinduism.
“Hindus don’t have 330 million gods. They believe in one god which has multiple shapes and is present in both living non living things. A sage in India once said that God exist in every human,” he said on Facebook.
“At that time, India’s population was 330 million. Outsiders manipulated the statement by claiming that there are 330 million gods in Hinduism.”
He also told off Zamri to stop making a fool of himself.
“Don’t be stupid. Teach the beauty of Islam. You don’t need to condemn other religions.
Zamri is the president of Angkatan Skuad Mubaligh Malaysia, an NGO made up of converted preachers. He also founded the Perlis based One Centre Malaysia.
He tells his audience that the concept of God in Hinduism and Christianity baffled him even prior to his conversion since there are 330 million gods in Hinduism.
“They believe in 330 million Gods. If I pray to one God a day, it will be incomplete even on the day that I die. We prayed to stones and fed food to stones. I can’t brain this,” he said.
He also defined the concept of Holy Trinity in Christianity as a “three in one god.”
“How many gods do Christians believe in? Muslims would say three, Christians claim one. “They know that if they say three, they would be polytheising God,” he said.
“There are signs of idolatory even in their books,” he added in reference to the cross on Holy Bible.
He also claimed that while all the religion claim to be a way of life only Islam had a complete way of life, 24 hours a day.
The 10:34 minute video was shot in Kelantan by a group called Info Sunnah Kelantan.
Zamri’s talk also raised concerns of the Muslims.
“I heard his speech and I am sure many Hindus are angry and cursed. The federal constitution allows Muslims to preach their faith to non Muslims. Personally, I don’t like his methods that belittle Hinduism in his bid to convert non Muslims,” said Shahrul Nizam Ab Rahim on Facebook.
“The correct method is to show a good behaviour. That is the true interpretation of the constitution.”
A Google search indicated that Zamri was once arrested for allegedly raping a 20 year old in his house in Seremban in the absence of his wife and children.
In a related development, Malaysia Hindu Sangam’s Perak chapter lodged a police report against Zamri in Sitiawan.
