Dr.Vincenzo Dicederio, Associate Proffesor of University of Campania, Italy one of the speaker in the webinar, said stem cells are currently used in therapies for organ repair and immune regulation with impressive results.
“People should beware of unapproved therapies. Only few received approval from regulatory agencies due to safety concerns. Indeed stem cells can result in severe damage if not used properly”, he stressed.
Meanwhile, another interesting sharing by speaker Dr. Nirmal Robinson Senior Research Fellow and Head, Cellular Stress and Immune Response Laboratory, Centre for Cancer Biology, University of South Australia said Cellular Stress is an Underlying cause of diseases associated with aging such as cancer.
” Understanding stress pathways associated with diseases and developing therapies are the way forward,” he added.
Participants largely from the medical field gained valuable knowledge shared by the key players in the industry as well as details on the health care, pharmaceutical, medical device and nutraceuticals.

Prof Dr Wan Azizi Wan Sulaiman Vice Chancellor PICOMS Univ College & Vice President MyHemp Medical Cannabis Discoveries for Future Healthcare Bio : Prof Dr Wan Mohd Azizi Bin Wan Sulaiman.
He is currently hold a position as Vice Chancellor at PICOMS International University College. He is well experienced and his research works mainly in natural product development for diabetes mellitus, wound care and cancer.
One of his achievement is that he successfully introduced complementary therapy Maggot Therapy for Diabetic Foot ulcer patients in Malaysia. Recently, he has established Malaysian Medical Hemp Society to promote the right usage and medical research in the area of Medical cannabis in collaboration with International Networks from Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, Australia and Netherlands.
Prof Dr Wan Mohd Azizi also managed to register six ayurvedic products with Malaysian National Pharmaceutical Regulatory (NPRA) to enter Malaysia market.

Dr. Vincenzo Desiderio Associate Professor, University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, Italy The Bright and Dark Side of Stem Cells Bio : Dr. Vincenzo Desiderio is a three times awards recipient from IADR, UofM and SIAI will be presenting a topic “The Bright and Dark Side of Stem Cells” on Virtual MyMEDEX 2021.
He is Associate Professor at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” lecturing Medical Histology and Embryology in the Medical School program and also Visiting Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, Guest Lecturer at the Children Hospital of Philadelphia and at the Charles University of Prague.
He is well experienced and his research activity has focused on stem cells biology and cancer stem cells identification and characterization leading to the publication of more than 40 papers in peer review journals.
Dr. Sri Ranjini Arumugam Senior Scientist, Leipzig University, Germany Nitrogen Vacancy Center in Diamond as a Biomedical Sensor and It’s Application in Healthcare.
She is very well experienced and specialized in this area as well as developing new applications and products using diamonds. He is the Head of Cellular Stress and Immune Response Laboratory at the Centre for Cancer Biology, University of South Australia, Adelaide.
His research area covered Cellular Stress mechanisms in cancer and ageing, Molecular interface between metabolism and immunity and Inflammation and Cell death mechanisms associated with cancer and bacterial infections.
Dr Nirmal has recognition of his research and won several awards and has high impact publications. iv. Prof. Dr. Med Sebastian Kobold University Profesor, Klinikum der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany Engineered T Cells for Cancer Therapy
Prof. Dr. S. Kobold from Klinikum der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. He is a Professor of Medicine and Experimental Immuno-oncology. He also serves as Deputy Director of the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at the University Hospital of the LMU.
His research is focused on developing innovative immunotherapeutic strategies utilizing T cells for cancer treatment. Nonetheless, his research has been recognized internationally by Ernst-Jung Career Advancement Award, the Vincenz Czerny Award or Johann-Georg-Zimmermann Award for cancer research.
He also active in publication as he is academic editor to the Journal for the Immunotherapy of Cancer, Frontiers in Immunology and Frontiers in Oncology and reviews for international leading journals and grant funders including the Nature and Science publishing groups.
Dr. Endre Szili Senior Research Fellow and Australian Research Council Future Fellow Plasma in Medicine – Emerging Technology Bio : He is a Senior Research Fellow at the Future Industries Institute, University of South Australia.
His research interests are in the fundamentals and applications of ionised gas discharge (plasma) technologies for addressing health, food and environmental challenges.
Endre Szili also has been awarded a Future Fellowship by the Australian Research Council. Fun fact about him, he is a keen home beer brewer, fisherman and conservationist, and he enjoys spending time on his hobby farm with his friendly flock of chickens.
Dr. Ravindra Kumar Associate Director, MSD, USA Advances in Vaccines Technology and Challenges in Potency Determination.
Dr Kumar has 16 years of combined experience in academia and pharmaceutical industry (R&D and Manufacturing) settings. He also has extensive experience in biologics and vaccines analytics.
