Tuanku Muhriz inspects guard of honour in conjunction with 72th birthday celebrations

KUALA PILAH: Yang Dipertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir today inspected the guard-of-honor in conjunction with his 72th birthday celebrations.

Also present at the event were his sons Tunku Besar Seri Menanti Tunku Ali Redhauddin and Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin.

Earlier, Tuanku Muhriz and Tunku Ampuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Aishah Rohani Almarhum Tengku Besar Mahmud arrived at Padang Besar Seri Menanti here at 8.15 a.m., greeted by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun and State Secretary Datuk Dr Razali Ab Malik.

He later inspected the guard-of-honour comprising members of the 71 Royal Signals Regiment of the Western Field Headquarters, Sungai Besi Perdana Camp, led by Major Fairuzeyaza Yahya.

Today, chairman of the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia board of directors Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar led the list of 444 recipients of Negeri Sembilan awards conferred in conjunction with Tuanku Muhriz’s birthday celebrations.

He was awarded the Darjah Seri Setia Negeri Sembilan Yang Amat Cemerlang (SSNS) which carries the title Datuk Seri.

Besides Abdul Wahid, the SSNS was also conferred to director of the International Science Council Regional Office For Asia And The Pacific, Emeritus Professor Datuk Dr Mazlan Othman.
