Tan Sri Balakrishnan dead in fatal road accident

KULAI: Four men were killed, including a person believed to be former MIC vice-president Tan Sri S. Balakrishnan, at KM33 North–South Expressway near here.
According to the fire and rescue department report, the accident occured at about 12.08am on Wednesday after a container truck lost control and crashed into the opposite lanes.
The truck then rammed a Toyota Vellfire ferrying seven people and another car. The report confirmed that four men had died while three others were injured. The lorry and the proton driver were unharmed.
Balakrishnan’s death has greatly affected MIC members and members of the Johor State MIC.
The top leaders of the party have expressed their condolences that the sudden death of Balakrishnan and Tanushree Balakrishnan.
Balakrishnan, who is well known in Johor, has launched various welfare schemes in the state.
The death of Balakrishnan, prominent businessman in Malaysia, greatly missed by his supporters.
