Sunway Malls adopt flora inspired theme for Raya

KUALA LUMPUR: All six Sunway Malls across Malaysia have been transformed into a thematic garden to usher in the upcoming Hari Raya celebration.

Its chief operating officer Kevin Tan said the ‘Bunga-Bunga Raya’ theme revolved around the different species of flowers that symbolise many colours of Malaysia.

“Each mall is now decked out with amazing flora inspired theme, celebrating the flowers of Malaysia, including hibiscus, bougainvillea, orchids, geranium, morning glory and jasmine.

“The flowers selected have different meaning such as togetherness, celebration, forgiveness, hope, new beginnings and purity. We, Malaysians of different religions and races celebrates Raya together,” he said in his welcoming remark at the launching ceremony here in Sunway Putra Mall, today.

At Sunway Putra Mall, the main concourse area has been transformed into beautiful orchid garden with larger that life birdcages placed around the fountain.

The mall also invited the visitors to indulge in a lavish shopping experience with several fashion booths featuring designs by renowned designers such as Tom Abang Saufi, Salikin Sidek, Natasha Ameer, Variante, Petra and EMEL being set up at the main concourse.

Apart from that, the mall also hosts Aidilfitri Market and Kraftangan Bazaar featuring a variety of handmade batik, exquisite souvenirs and decorative items.
