Sultan Ibrahim receives briefing from Anwar on Budi95, Asean Summit preparations
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 25 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim briefed His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, on the rollout of the Budi Madani RON95 (Budi95) initiative during an audience today.
The meeting, held at Istana Bukit Tunku, also discussed the government’s plans to ensure a smooth transition in fuel subsidy retargeting.
Sultan Ibrahim was updated on various ongoing efforts to ease the cost of living for Malaysians through targeted support.
The prime minister also presented preparations for the 47th Asean Summit, which will convene in Kuala Lumpur next month.
Starting Sept 30, the Budi95 programme will provide Malaysian citizens with RON95 petrol at a subsidised price of RM1.99 per litre.
Each eligible Malaysian with a valid MyKad and driving licence is entitled to a monthly quota of 300 litres.
