KUALA LUMPUR, May 18 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, consented to receive a coffee table book titled Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Sultan Ibrahim King of Malaysia, published by the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), at Istana Negara today.

According to a post on the Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar Facebook page, His Majesty granted an audience to Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, who led a delegation to present the book.

Also present were Bernama chairman Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai, chief executive officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin and editor-in-chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj.

The 221-page book, published as an expression of appreciation to His Majesty on behalf of the people, documents Sultan Ibrahim’s background and journey in carrying out his role as the King.

Each chapter of the book contains accompanying bilingual articles and presents stories through selected photographs with bilingual captions.

Containing more than 350 photographs from the image collection of Bernama and the Royal Press Office, the book is divided into six chapters, beginning with Sultan Ibrahim’s background, followed by His Majesty’s journey in carrying out his role as the King.

The publication of the book also received support from 31 strategic partners, including TMC Life, Tenaga Nasional Berhad and Petronas.

The book will also be distributed to libraries and schools, as well as corporate bodies and government agencies.
