Successful heart stent op for Rafizi, now in recovery
PUTRAJAYA, Oct 25 — Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli has undergone a heart stent placement procedure last week and is now recuperating, according to Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
Saifuddin, who is also PKR secretary-general, said he was informed about the matter by a source close to Rafizi, who is PKR deputy president, since no visitors were allowed at that time.
“He is okay (after the procedure) and is now resting,” he told reporters after attending the National Registration Department’s 75th Diamond Jubilee celebration here today.
On October 21, Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa announced that Rafizi suffered a heart attack but was then in a stable condition and confirmed that Rafizi was treated at the Universiti Malaysia Medical Centre (PPUM).
