With this in mind, the SingEx Exhibitions and its international partner Deutsche Messe will be organising the Industrial Transformation Asia-Pacific 2019-A HANDOVER MESSE event in Singapore.

Scheduled from Oct 22 to 24 at the Singapore EXPO & Max Atria Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event will bring together Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4) practitioners from across the globe to connect and network in order to learn, solve problems and retrofit.

The event, which will be attended by Singaporean deputy prime minister cum finance minister Heng Swee Keat, will also see business leaders learning from thought leaders and work out an actionable IR4 solutions for the company’s future.

Touching on the matter, Enterprise Singapore executive director for manufacturing & engineering Simon Lim said the event will see leading manufacturers and solution providers exchanging ideas on best practises, discover new technologies and moot new partnerships to face IR4.0.

“Singapore has a strong manufacturing industry, having enterprises in both manufacturing and the provision of manufacturing expertise and solutions.

“We are excited to be participating in the event, contributing to the exchange of best practices and technology in the industry.

“Enterprise Singapore is working closely with these businesses to facilitate partnerships and support their move towards building smart factories,” he said.

SingEx Holdings chief executive officer Aloysius Arlando echoed Lim sentiments, saying new enterprises will be able to find the right approach to face IR 4.0 through the event.

“SMEs, in particular, will find a support system which can provide customisable and cost-effective solutions to help optimise manufacturing processes or reinvent business models that satisfy client demands; and expand into new markets to grow their customer base.

“We have also developed a digital engagement platform to help companies and practitioners learn, network and collaborate beyond the show,” he said.

Speaking about the event, organiser Deutsche Messe AG said that it is important for businesses to embrace digitalisation in order to remain competitive in the global market.

“This where our Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC event brings together users and providers of all types to actively shape the IR4.0 in Singapore and the surrounding region,” said chief executive officer Dr Jochen Köckler.
