Sex video: Azmin convinced its inside job, Anwar’s aide missing?
SHAH ALAM: Economics Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali is convinced that the gay sex video implicating him was disseminated by a party insider.
Azmin’s belief is strengthened by the fact that Perak PKR chief Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak, who is also PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s political secretary, is now missing.
“I am convinced,” Azmin told reporters when asked about the possibility that PKR insiders were involved in the allegations against him.
“From the very beginning, I am sure that this has a political agenda, done by certain people who intend to halt my performance in the government as well as in politics.
“Let the people judge the matter as it has been proven that the perception of who is behind the conspiracy and claims continues to build up,” he said, after witnessing the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Selangor government in its “Rumah Idaman affordable housing programme with developers Konsortium PCSB-MGB dan Must Ehsan Development Sdn Bhd here.
Azmin who is also PKR deputy president added that the public could also surmise for themselves the masterminds behind the sex videos.
Farhash Wafa’s name surfaced when Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz, who confessed to being the other person in the clips, was arrested at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) as he prepared to leave for Manila.
Farhash who is also party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s political secretary, has relatives in the Philippines.
English daily, the Star has reported that Farhash has been incommunicado since the first sex video clip was released last Tuesday.
In a related development Perak PKR deputy chairman MA Thinagaran denied that Farhash has been incommunicado.
He was surprised over news reports claiming Farhash to be missing. He claimed that he was in constant contact with the holidaying state party leader who is also actively participating in their internal PKR WhatsApp group discussions.
“I was made to understand that Farhash is still on leave but he always followed the state’s political development,” Tinagaran said in a statement.
He also said that Farhash should not be under the spotlight since there is ongoing police investigation.
“Police are conducting an investigation into the matter. Hence I hope the issue that should be focused on is not to look for someone who is on holiday but the outcome of investigation which does not involve him,” he said.
