Salahuddin Ayub’s body to be flown to Johor after midnight by aircraft
ALOR SETAR, July 23 — The remains of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub to be transported to Johor after midnight.
Agriculture and Food Security minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu said Salahuddin will be laid to rest at his hometown in Kampung Serkat, Tanjung Piai.
“The body is being processed at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital here, then we will bring the body to Masjid Badar in Jalan Langgar here for funeral prayers.
“His remains will be transported by RMAF aircraft to Johor for funeral arrangements,” he told reporters at the hospital.
Mohamad, who is also the Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president, also took to his Facebook account to express his sadness over the death of his colleague in Salahuddin.
“Tonight is a very sad night for all Amanah members and supporters. Our deputy president, Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub has died at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Star, Kedah.
“The Amanah president wishes to remind all members and supporters to be patient with the test, pray that Salahuddin’s soul will be placed among the righteous, and all his good deeds be accepted by Allah.”
