S Korean leader set for summit with Bruneian monarch

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, March 11: South Korean President Moon Jae In was set to hold a summit with Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah on Monday to discuss ways to improve his country’s relationship with Brunei, as well as the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

According to Yonhap news agency report, quoting Seoul’s presidential office Cheong Wa Dae, Moon arrived here Sunday on a three-day state visit, becoming the first South Korean leader to make a state visit here in 19 years.

The Bruneian king was set to welcome the South Korean president in a welcome ceremony to be held at his official residence, Istana Nurul Iman, followed by a friendly visit to be attended by the leaders’ wives, said the presidential office.
