Residents encouraged to take advantage of ‘+1’ garbage pickup service
SEREMBAN: SWM Environment Sdn Bhd (SWM Environment) knows that Ramadan is a time to clean up the house for Hari Raya therefore it is encouraging the public to make full use of the ‘Kutipan +1’ service for the once weekly removal of bulky waste, garden waste and recyclables.
SWM Environment Melaka and Negeri Sembilan regional manager, Dr Al’Ashari Othman, said in a statement today: “The recommendation is based on the projected increase in household solid waste generation to prepare for Aidilfitri.
“Households are encouraged to practise separation at source (PSDP) in order for garbage collection to go smoothly.”
He assured that garbage pickup and the cleaning of public spaces will run as per usual schedule in six local government authority (PBT) areas in Negeri Sembilan during Ramadan and the movement control order (MCO) period.

Al’Ashari added that SWM Environment is always ready to serve in the COVID-19 sanitation in public spaces operations coordinated by the Negeri Sembilan Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) in collaboration with the PBT and SWCorp Negeri Sembilan.
