Rahul Gandhi slams Pakistan over violence in Kashmir

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has come out to clarify that although the grand old party disagrees with the Modi government on a number of matters, there is no two ways about the fact that Kashmir is an internal matter for India with no scope for any interference from Pakistan or any other nation.

In two tweets today morning, Rahul Gandhi said, “I disagree with this Govt. on many issues. But, let me make this absolutely clear: Kashmir is India’s internal issue & there is no room for Pakistan or any other foreign country to interfere in it.”

Rahul Gandhi added, “There is violence in Jammu & Kashmir. There is violence because it is instigated and supported by Pakistan which is known to be the prime supporter of terrorism across the world.”

Earlier, both Rahul Gandhi and Congress, including a number of its leaders, have slammed the Modi government over the abrogation of Article 370 and the subsequent lockdown in the Valley.

Last week, an Opposition delegation led by Rahul Gandhi landed in Srinagar after being invited by Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik. However, the group was not allowed to step into the Valley and was sent back.

Rahul Gandhi raised several questions as to what was the government trying to hide from the people and the Opposition that they were sent back from the airport itself.

However, now he has come out to support the government stand that Kashmir is an internal matter. He has also slammed Pakistan for instigating violence in Kashmir.

Gandhi also blamed Pakistan for spreading terror across the world.
