‘People will turn Pakatan into opposition again’

BALIK PULAU: Pakatan Harapan would return to its original phase of not being in power as there is a growing tide of dissatisfaction among the people. This would happen without the need for Umno and PAS to work on it, claimed Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

“Wait till the rakyat reject them.  We (Umno and PAS) are not going to take any revenge but we will wait, knowing that the revenge will come to them naturally without us forcing the rakyat,” he told the Balik Pulau Umno division yesterday.

Zahid who is also the Bagan Datuk MP added that Malaysians of various ethnicities have started rejecting Pakatan Harapan.

He also used the example of the sacrifice of Aidiladha to emphasis the need for a united front for the federal opposition.

“A few people are needed to hold the hind and front legs, head and body.

“In this journey, there are sacrifices (to be made). We cannot allow only the Umno and PAS presidents to unite all, everyone has their responsibility to unite the ummah,” he said.

Umno is steadfast in opposing any parties in cohorts with the DAP.  It will be signing a formal cooperation pact with the Islamist PAS next month in Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
