Penang, Kedah roads closure for Le Tour De Langkawi

KUALA LUMPUR: Road closures can be expected in Penang and Kedah tomorrow during the sixth stage of Le Tour De Langkawi (LTDL) 2019.

Main sponsor, Petronas, issued a statement today informing that the roads will be closed in stages to ensure smooth traffic flow.

Members of the public who would like to watch the race or join the activities being organised should plan ahead, use alternative routes and comply with instructions from the police.

Road closures begin in Penang at the following: Jalan Kampung Gajah-Jalan Bagan Jermal-Jalan Bagan Ajam-Petronas Bagan Ajam (closed 9am-9.50am); Kolej Vokasional Butterworth-Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Teluk Ayer Tawar-Taman Bayu Aman-Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Teluk Ayer Tawar (closed 9.13am-9.55am); Balai Polis Teluk Ayer Tawar-Titi Mukim-Permatang Pak Elong-Permatang Sintok-Taman Permatang Sintuk (closed 9.15am-10am); Permatang Tok Loba-Kepala Batas-Lahar Ikan Mati (closed 9.21am-10.05am); and Permatang Tiga Ringgit-Permatang Tinggi Á-Bumbung Lima-Kampung Jambatan Merdeka (closed 9.27am-10.11am).

In Kedah, avoid SMK Pekula Jaya-Balai Polis Tikam Batu-Balai Bomba Tikam Batu-Sungai Petani (closed 9.35am-10.19am); Tesco-Petronas Bakar Arang-Courts-Taman Kuala Muda (closed 9.46am-10.32am); Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Kuala Muda-Perdana Heights-Plaza Tol Sungai Petani (U)-Petronas Sungai Lalang (closed 9.55am-10.40am); SMK Bedong-SK Seri Aman-Balai Polis Bedong-Gurun (closed 10.05am-10.50am); and Sekolah Menengah Agama (SMA) Pekan Gurun-SMK Gurun-SK Sri Jerai-Balai Polis Gurun-SK Gurun (closed 10.17am-11.01am).
