One killed, 5 injured in mass shooting in Seattle
SEATTLE: A mass shooting in the centre of Seattle, United States has left one person dead and five more injured.
Sputnik news agency, citing a news item from The Seattle Times newspaper, reported that on yesterday, the city police said that the shooting had left “multiple victims,” adding that the suspected attacker had escaped from the site.
Later, the city police have confirmed the number of victims provided by media reports.
“Detectives are investigating after six people were wounded by gunfire, one fatally, at 3rd and Pine. The suspect(s) fled the scene,” the Seattle Police Department wrote on its Twitter page.
According to the KIRO 7 broadcaster, seven people were injured in the incident, including a 9-year-old boy and a 55-year-old woman, who is in a critical condition.
The shooting took place not far from the new headquarters of the Amazon corporation.
