Olive branch to Zakir Naik – One-way ticket to India

PUCHONG: Stulang state assemblyman Andrew Chen Kah Eng has offered an olive branch to controversial Indian Muslim preacher Dr Zakir Naik with a caveat – a one-way ticket to India, following the alleged derogatory and racist remarks against Indians and Chinese.

“He is not a Malaysian and he is definitely not welcomed by Malaysians, so kindly leave Malaysia and go back to India.

“Once he is back in India, please do not come to Malaysia again,” added the Johor DAP deputy publicity secretary in a statement this afternoon.

Several cabinet ministers have been calling for Zakir’s deportation after the remarks was made in during his speech tour in Kelantan.

The preacher has denied the allegations.

In a related development, Zakir has kickstarted his speech tour in Perlis at the “Malaysia Reverts Camp” event.

Zakir’s son Fariq will be the first speaker.  Zakir is slated to discuss two topics, including “Ask Dr Zakir – An open Question & Answer Session”.

The Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council and One Centre Malaysia are co-organisers of the event.

One Centre Malaysia CEO Zamri Vinoth is also among Zakir’s students who would speak at the event.  Other prominent preachers include Perlis mufti Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin and Ridhuan Tee Abdullah.
