Netizens thank Saravanan over his effort to enable chariot procession in Penang

Penang: In the midst of Covid-19 lockdown, the Nattukotai Chettiar Temple was able to proceed with its annual Thaipusam silver chariot ceremony today after gaining approval from Putrajaya and the police.
Prior to this, Datuk Seri M. Saravanan, Minister of Human Resources and Deputy President of Malaysian Indian Congress who is also a devout Hindu appeal to NSC and Senior Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri for approval of the conditional chariot procession.
It is learnt that Nattukottai Chettiar Temple Penang trustees approached Datuk Seri M. Saravanan seeking his assistance to get approval of National Security Council and Senior Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri to allow conditional chariot procession.

The letter of appeal has since gone viral in social media and many netizens have expressed their gratitude and have been happy over the continuation of the tradition.
