Najib’s Trial: Temporarily adjourned due to jumbled documentation

KUALA LUMPUR: Ex-prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s trial was adjourned shortly after lunch break after defence counsel Harvinderjit Singh appealed for a temporary adjournment as their documentation was a little jumbled up.

The accused’s counsel Harvinderjit Singh says their documentation was a bit “jumbled up” while the prosecution’s one was better arranged.

High Court judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali then allows the temporary adjournment.

Earlier during examination-in-chief by DPP Suhaimi Ibrahim, Bank Negara investigation officer Azizul Adzani Abdul Ghafar said he handed over the confiscation list and related documents to Bank Negara investigation officer on July 7, 2015.

Azizul carried out a raid at an Ambank branch at Raja Chulan, KL, on July 6 whereby he confiscated documents on the opening of bank accounts by Najib, SRC International and Gandingan Mentari.
