Najib amused by Anwar-Azmin’s open war

KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional adviser Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak poked fun at the open hostility between PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his deputy Mohamed Azmin Ali.

In a Facebook post, Najib, however, appeared to favour Azmin and urged the Economic Affairs Minister to ‘stay strong’.

“Min, steady Min. The war drums have been sounded. No one knows who will win.

“But surely Bersatu will be the one cheering. Whatever it is, let’s eat first,” said the Pekan MP.

Yesterday, a war of words erupted between long-time allies, Anwar and Azmin.

It started when the former deputy prime minister urged Azmin to resign from his post if it is true that the one featured in the viral sex video disseminated last month was him.

To this, Azmin shot back by telling Anwar to ‘look in the mirror’ before talking. He was referring to the Port Dickson MPs previous sex scandals and his two conviction for sodomy charges.

Azmin also hit back at PKR information chief Datuk Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin who made a similar remark like Anwar earlier.

The police have recently arrested six individuals, including Muhammad Haziq Abdul Aziz and Anwar’s political secretary Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak to assist in their investigation on the case.

The police have also said that CyberSecurity Malaysia has identified the duo featured in the sex video but refused to divulge on details.
