Mukhriz Mahathir the eighth Prime Minister?

PUCHONG: Umno Youth chief Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki speculated that the eighth prime minister of Malaysia would be Bersatu’s deputy president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Mahathir.
“This morning, on the same flight to Penang with the future eighth prime minister of Malaysia,” he said on Facebook.
The post was accompanied with a photograph of Asyraf with Mukhriz.
At the time of writing, the post received 2200 likes and 385 comments.
Mukhriz is currently Kedah Menteri Besar and Jerlun MP.
The speculation came about despite an understanding that Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad would be handing over his premiership to PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Recent speculation however suggested that Dr Mahathir favored Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali over Anwar. Azmin is also PKR deputy president.
It contributed to the viralled gay sex videos that implicated Azmin.
In an interview with Nikkei Asian Review, Mukhriz said that he was prepared for a federal government position but dismissed the notion of succceeding his father as the next prime minister.
