Muda going it alone in state polls
KUALA LUMPUR, June 26 — Muda will contest in the forthcoming elections in six states on its own, its president, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, has announced. At a press conference today, Syed Saddiq dismissed the notion that Muda would be splitting votes for the government, saying “the politics of fear mongering should end”.
“We should not be using fear mongering tactics to justify complacency and arrogance,” he said.
This means the party will clash with Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional in the elections, despite being a part of the government bloc.Muda had applied to join PH before the general election in November but the coalition has yet to respond to its application.
