Mosques to hold ‘solat hajat’ to keep the political situation stable

PUTRAJAYA: Key mosques under the administration of the Islamic Development Department Malaysia (Jakim), will be conducting the “solat hajat” (prayer of need) to seek help from Allah, to keep the political situation in the country stable, maintain the peace and harmony among the people of various religions and races.
Jakim director-general Datuk Paimuzi Yahya, in a statement today, said the prayer will be held at the National Mosque in Kuala Lumpur, Putra Mosque and the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque here today.
Other mosques, including in the states, are also urged to hold similar prayer from time to time, he added.
