Miri still suffering from horrible haze

KUALA LUMPUR: Air quality in the Miri division in Sarawak is still at the hazardous level with the Air Pollutant Index (API) reading at 345, as of 10 pm.

The Department of Environment (DOE) said the peak API reading was 352 at 10 am.

Meanwhile, for Kuala Baram, the API reading was 312 (hazardous) at 10 am before going down to 297 (very unhealthy) the next hour. The reading was 265 at 10 pm.

Sri Aman, Miri also showed a significant drop in the API reading at 113 tonight as compared 158 at 2 am while the majority of other locations around the country recorded moderate API readings.

The Air Pollution Index (API) reading of 0-50 shows good air quality; 51-100 (moderate); 101-200 (unhealthy); 201-300 (very unhealthy) and over 300 (hazardous).
