MCA runs running commentary as Streram woos the Chinese voters
RANTAU: MCA ran a running commentary against PKR’s Dr S Streram as he wooed the Chinese voters at the market.
MCA’s campaign was led by central committee member, Yap Siok Moy who highlighted the salient points of BN candidate, Mohamad Hasan of Umno.
Among the points were Mohamad’s experience as Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar for 15 years and how he could play the check and balance role in the state assembly.
Prior to the nullification of Mohamad’s win in GE14, Mohamad was the state opposition leader.
It’s not easy to say whether Mohamad will win, it’s 50-50. The Chinese make up 18 percent of voters in Rantau, so we hope we can convince them to vote for Mohamad,” said Yap, reported Malaysiakini.
The by-election scheduled on Apr 13 pits Mohamad against Streram and two independents.
