Man dies from electric shock while fishing
KLUANG: A local man was found dead, believed to be due to an electric shock, while fishing at Sungai Kampung Palembang here yesterday.
Kluang District Police Chief ACP Mohd Abduh Ismail said passersby found the body of R G Rajandran, 31, at about 3 p.m.
“The victim was believed to have used a generator and electric wires to catch fish in the river before he was electrocuted,” he said in a statement here today.
Mohd Abduh said the remains of the victim, who worked at a nearby oil palm plantation, was sent to the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Kalsom Hospital (HEBHK), Kluang, for a post-mortem.
The case has been classified as sudden death.
