Malaysian actor Ashraf Sinclair dies

PUCHONG: Malaysian actor cum celebrity host, Ashraf Sinclair died early this morning due to a heart attack.

He was 40.

His death sent shockwaves to his fans and the local film fraternity, with many posting condolence messages on his social media account.

The news of his untimely demise was confirmed by Doddy, who is the manager of Bunga Citra Lestari, his wife and a singer.

Ashraf was born in the United Kingdom on Sept 18, 1979 to a British father and a Malay mother. He is the elder brother of celebrity host, Aishah Sinclair.

He was also the brother-in-law of Malaysian singer Yuna, who is married to his younger brother Adam Sinclair.

Ashraf rose to fame after starring in the movie “Gol & Gincu” in 2005, before taking up several television hosting roles.

He leaves behind a wife and a son.
