Kuala Pilah school death: Five students allege bullying by 16-year-old suspect
SEREMBAN, Sept 30 — Five students have come forward to police claiming they had been bullied by the first suspect detained over the death of a Form Two male student in Kuala Pilah last Friday.
Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the matter came to light as a result of further investigations into the 69 witness statements recorded so far.
“From the interrogations and during the recording of statements, five students claimed they had been bullied by the first suspect detained to assist in the case.
“So far, no new arrests have been made apart from the two male suspects, both aged 16, who are currently remanded until Oct 1 and 3, respectively, to assist in the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code,” he told reporters via WhatsApp today.
He also disclosed that investigations had found that the victim had never informed his family that he had been bullied at school.
The media reported that police had detained another 16-year-old male student yesterday in the investigation into the death of a Form Two student in Kuala Pilah last Friday.
The first suspect, a Form Four student, had earlier been remanded for six days to assist in the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
On Sept 25, a Form Two student was injured in an incident at a school in Kuala Pilah. He later died at Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Najihah.
