KL Raya Fest for Aidilfitri celebrations

KUALA LUMPUR: The KL Raya Fest themed Mood Republic began yesterday morning at 10am with products and services catered specifically for those who are celebrating the Aidilfitri in two weeks.

The unique thing about this sales fiesta is that it is held for only 72 hours at the Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

It was launched by the Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development Minister Mohd Redzuan Yusof.

The entire ground floor of MITEC are occupied by traders selling their products and services.

There were the latest baju Melayu with hooks and another with buttons at RM100.  There were plenty of booths with traders selling the latest designs for baju kurung and kebayas.

Perfumes for both men and women could be bought for as cheap as RM35 a bottle.

Items for travel, skin care are also up for grab.

In addition to that the organisers also had happy hour during which time traders sell their products at a cheaper rate.  The happy hour yesterday was held about an hour before the time to break their fast.

Food trucks are located in a separate hall to cater for the crowd breaking fast.
